Teacher and Choreographer
Nicky Bentley has been teaching and choreographing from Pineapple Dance studios for over 25 years.
As well as her ever popular studio classes, her influential style of street jazz and her
reputation as a teacher and choreographer has attracted many singers, presenters and artists from the world of entertainment
for a diverse range of projects.
Nicky is experienced in coaching and choreographing in a variety of styles ranging from
street jazz to the can-can to basic stage confidence, and these independent sessions have included work for international
tours, theatre, television, feature film and showcases.
Her clients have included: Blue, Liberty X, Sir Cliff Richard, S Club 7, Lulu, N-Tyce, Danni
Minogue, Danni Behr, Pamela Stephenson, Hayley Westernra, Status Quo, Honeyz, Sugababes, Jonathan Morris, Vanessa May, Cathy
Dennis, D-Mob and 3SL.
Nicky has also produced and featured in a best-selling DVD/VHS Masterclass in association
with Pineapple, showcasing her own personal style of Street Jazz.
Mark James is Nicky's long time assistant choreographer.
Nicky first met Mark through record labels as he was a newly signed artist she was assigned
to develop. They instantly struck up a friendship and Nicky started to train Mark up for his future in the
business. Now, he can often be seen teaching her classes for her when she's not available.
Mark has also been teaching his own choreography at The British Academy Of New
Music in London, The Academy Of Contemporary Music in Guildford and at Pineapple for over 7 years.
He has worked with many Major labels including: Positiva as choreographer and backing
dancer for the U.K promotional tour of the Number 1 hit 'TOCA ME' (or TOCA 's Miracle' as its now
known) by Fragma, he has also worked with Polydor records, Agean records, Almighty records, Smudge Productions,
Simply Red, Wella Hair, not to mention staging numerous show cases for up coming singers and performers which he has
trained for record label projects.
Mark has also worked with some of the top artists as Nicky's assistant choreographer
and produced many major stage shows at London's infamous HEAVEN night club.
He now hopes to follow in Nicky's foot steps as he continues the success of her class at
Pineapple. |
